Migrate to FundMesa from anywhere.
Whether you're leaving Foundant GrantHub, escaping spreadsheets, or switching from another grant tracking tool, we make the move easy. Most migrations take under 30 minutes.
For Foundant GrantHub customers
Migrating from Foundant GrantHub?
You're in the right place. We built FundMesa specifically with displaced GrantHub customers in mind — including a one-click CSV importer that auto-maps GrantHub's export format.

Why GrantHub customers choose FundMesa.
The wish list from GrantHub user forums — and what we built instead.
Custom fields that actually work
More flexible than GrantHub's limited custom-field model. Add a field to any grant, funder, or deadline in 30 seconds without filing a ticket.
AI document intake
Upload an RFP, award letter, or budget PDF. Claude extracts funder, deadlines, amounts, and required attachments — you review and accept.
Modern, mobile-friendly interface
No more 2015-era UI. FundMesa works on a phone the same as on a desktop. Tested with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
Calendar feed your team can subscribe to
ICS + Google Calendar integration. Deadlines show up in Outlook, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar — wherever your team actually lives.
Multi-user with proper roles
Owner, coordinator, program staff, viewer — each role sees a different slice of the data. Program staff can log expenses without seeing the full pipeline.
Built-in accounting integrations
QuickBooks Online (now) and Sage Intacct (Pro tier) pull expense data directly. Reimbursement requests get pre-filled with actuals from your books.
What we replicate from GrantHub.
Everything you used GrantHub for still works in FundMesa. You're not learning a new workflow — you're getting your existing one back, with better edges.
- All grant tracking and pipeline management
- Deadline reminders (with more reliability than the GrantHub system)
- File attachments per grant
- Funder tracking with contact details
- Activity logs and audit trails

What your data looks like in FundMesa — a worked example for a similarly-sized nonprofit.
One-click migration.
Most customers migrate their full GrantHub portfolio in under 30 minutes.
Export from GrantHub.
In GrantHub: Reports → Grants → "Export to CSV." Includes all grants, funders, and deadlines. Your attachments stay accessible during your GrantHub wind-down period.
Upload to FundMesa.
Sign up, then go to Settings → Import. Drop the CSV. Our wizard auto-detects the GrantHub format and pre-maps every column.
Review and confirm.
Preview the import. Fix any mappings that look off. Click Confirm. Your portfolio is live in FundMesa with funders linked and deadlines on the calendar.
Need help with your GrantHub migration?
We offer free 30-minute migration consultations for any nonprofit moving from GrantHub. We'll walk through your CSV together, flag any data shape that needs attention, and have you running before the call ends.
First year of Team plan free for GrantHub migrants.
Sign up before December 31, 2026 with a GrantHub CSV export and we'll cover your first year of the Team plan. No catch — just our way of helping nonprofits get off a sinking platform.
For Excel + Google Sheets shops
Coming from spreadsheets?
About half of small-to-mid nonprofits track grants in Excel or Google Sheets. We built CSV import to handle all the messy real-world spreadsheet quirks.
What our importer handles
- Auto-detects your column structure — funder name, amount, deadline, status
- Handles dollar signs, commas, multiple date formats, embedded newlines, BOM characters
- Dry-run preview lets you validate before committing — no data lands until you confirm
- Per-row error reporting flags problem rows without aborting the whole import
Common spreadsheet patterns we handle
- Grants tracker with funder + amount + deadline columns
- Pipeline view with status columns (applying, submitted, awarded)
- Multi-year tracking with separate sheets per year (consolidate during import)
For Grant Frog users
Switching from Grant Frog?
Grant Frog is a solid tool, especially for funder discovery. If you're switching because you need more depth in post-award management or want flat pricing, FundMesa was built for exactly that.
- Export your Grant Frog data to CSV — we'll auto-map the fields
- Keep using Grant Frog for funder discovery if you want; FundMesa focuses on the post-award workflow Grant Frog doesn't go deep on
- Roles and permissions FundMesa has that Grant Frog doesn't (viewer, program staff, coordinator, owner)
- Built-in accounting integrations with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct
For Instrumentl down-shifters
Down-shifting from Instrumentl?
Instrumentl is excellent at funder discovery, but their pricing ($999/month for the Full Lifecycle tier) is more than many nonprofits can sustain. If you've already found your funders and need a tool focused on managing the grants you've won, FundMesa is built for that.
- Export grants and deadlines from Instrumentl to CSV — we'll map the fields
- Many of our customers keep Instrumentl for funder prospecting and use FundMesa for everything post-award
- Most customers save 60–80% on monthly software costs by combining a leaner prospecting tool with FundMesa
- All the post-award depth that Instrumentl charges enterprise for, included in our Team tier
For everything else
Coming from somewhere else?

- 1 Export your existing grant data as CSV
- 2 Use our CSV import wizard with manual field mapping (auto-mapping works for common patterns; manual mapping handles anything)
- 3 Email us at hello@fundmesa.com if you'd like migration help — first consultation is free for any nonprofit
